Basic GM Parts Warranty Coverage Passenger Cars, Light Duty Trucks (Non
Commercial).
Dealer Installed:
12 Months/20,000 km's, whichever occurs first from the date of installation, including parts and labour. Effective from date of installation.
 
Sold Over- The-Counter:
12 Months/unlimited km's from the date of sale, by the Dealer, including parts only. Effective from the date of sale.
 
NOTABLE EXCEPTIONS:
1. GM Accessories: If dealer installed. SEE BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS.
2. Delco Batteries - Varying Pro-Rata warranties up to 84 months, depending on series.
3. GM Service Replacement Engines, Transmissions. SEE BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS.
4. ACDelco DuraStop Brake Parts - SEE BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS
5. Delco Ignition Wire Sets - Limited Lifetime Warranty.
6. General Motors Service Replacement Sheet Metal - Limited Lifetime Warranty against rust through/perforation.
 
Note: Any General Motors Dealer may perform the repairs or replacements covered under these Warranties. These repairs, or replacements, are to be performed within a reasonable time following delivery of the malfunctioning part or accessory to the Dealer's place of business. The Dealer must be furnished with the purchaser's copy of the original sales slip on over-the-counter sales, or a copy of the repair order indicating date of installation, to validate the date of purchase/installation and vehicle distance, as applicable.

The following Warranties are in addition to the 12 month/unlimited kilometres warranty applicable on all GM Service Replacement Parts and Accessories.

GENERAL MOTORS (DEALER) ACCESSORIES WARRANTY
Dealer Installed: Covered under the provisions of the New Vehicle Warranty, (if installed at time of delivery to the Customer). In the event GM Accessories are installed after vehicle delivery, they will be covered (parts and labour) for the balance of the Vehicle Warranty but in no event less than 12 months unlimited kilometres.

B). GM Service Replacement Automatic Transmission/Transaxle Assembly Limited Warranty.

APPLICATION 
Passenger Car and Light Duty Truck (Series 10-30)
Dealer Installed 36 Months or 160,000 km (whichever first occurs) Effective Date Of Installation By GM Dealer.
Other Than GM Dealer Installed 36 Mths or 160,000 km (whichever first occurs). Eff. on date of sale by dealer to customer.
This warranty covers the cost of parts and labour and begins on the date of installation by an authorized GM Dealer, or the date of sale when sold over-the-counter by an authorized GM Dealer to an independent repair centre or other purchaser. To obtain warranty repairs, take your vehicle to any authorized GM Dealers.
 
C). ACDelco Dura Stop Brake Warranty - Pads & Drums.
 
Dealer Installed - Limited Lifetime (parts only).
Other Than GM Dealer Installed - 12 months / Unlimited km (parts only).
 
D). ACDelco Dura Stop Brake Warranty - Drums, Rotors & Hydraulics.
 
Dealer Installed & Other Than GM Dealer Installed - 12 months / Unlimited km (parts only).
E). AC Delco Shock Absorber / Struts Limited Warranty.
 
Dealer Installed - Limited Lifetime (parts only) & 12 months or 20,000 km (labour).
Sold Over-The-Counter 12 months, unlimited km (Parts only - to original purchaser).
